It is with excitement that we announce the scheduling of the 2025 Southern Federation of Professional Fire Fighters Conference in Gulf Shores, Alabama on May 11th-12th. This Conference will be held in conjunction with the 12 & 14 District’s Educational Conference which begins on May 13th.
The General Session will start on Monday, May 12th, and conclude on Tuesday, May 13th. Tuesday will be a joint conference with the Southern Fed and the District Education Conference to allow IAFF Leadership to address both groups. There will also be hospitality events planned so you can network with other IAFF members. Attendees of the Southern Fed Conference may also register and attend the 12 & 14 District Conference: however, a separate registration is required.
Remember, the primary focus of our event is securing collective bargaining for every IAFF member. This conference is direct access to what is being done at the IAFF level and individual state and local levels to make this a reality.
As I write this, unfortunately, we are moving backwards in this endeavor with the loss of bargaining rights in Utah. Agents of ALEC have also filed a similar bill in Idaho. I urge each of you to come have a seat at the table and hear how to counter this wave of attacks.
A room block has been secured The Lodge at Gulf State Park, a Hilton Hotel 21196 East Beach Blvd Gulf Shores, Alabama 36542 USA in conjunction with the Educational Conference. This is an incredible facility for both the conference and family.
Attached is the Southern Federation of Professional Fire Fighters Membership Form for 2025 and Conference Registration Form. Please return the membership form and payment at your convenience. Membership of the Southern Fed is still a low cost of $1 per member with a minimum cost of $35 and a maximum cost of $100. Also, this year we have added an on-line membership application and payment option through Unionly, so you can pay by credit card. The membership application link is on this email. The payment link and details of events will also be placed on our website at www.sfpff.org and the Southern Fed Facebook page.
